Notarial Services
Our notarial services are available by appointment or on an urgent basis.
Notaries can witness and authenticate any number of documents or your signature, and are especially relevant when you require documents to be certified for use overseas. Using a notary public service is necessary when you need to attest that a document is legally binding under Australian law. You will generally be told by the party or organisation who requires the document whether they need it to be notarised.
The Notarisation ProcessThe notarisation process will involve:• a one-to-one appointment with our notary public where he will discuss with you your requirements;• identify the country your document is going to, if applicable and that country’s particular requirements;• an explanation of the costs for your document notarisation, including any fees payable to the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT); and• notarise your document which involves preparing a special certificate called a Notary Public Certificate to your document or printed on the reverse side of the page; each page is individually signed and sealed by our notary public.
